🏊♀️ Pool Access Update – Starting January 7 🏊♂️
Exciting news! The Mole Creek Progress Association has secured new insurance that will allow the pool to remain open without lifeguards! This means the Pool will be open from 8:30am – 7:00pm DAILY! Thanks to our amazing volunteers who have helped to get this far, to the lifeguards and volunteers who will be opening, closing and maintaining the pool! To ensure smooth operations, we’re making some temporary changes as we transition to a keyless entry system:
- Non-season pass users can access the pool via the Mole Creek Takeaway Shop
- You will need to pay the entry fee via exact cash or direct deposit, sign-in (including waiver), and pay a $20 CASH ONLY key deposit
- Once you have finished your swim, return the key and get your deposit back
- ALWAYS lock the gate behind you after entering and exiting
- Season pass holders will have access to the gate key and won’t need to check in at the shop
Thank you for your honesty and respect as we implement this system to benefit the entire community. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to seeing you at the pool! If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch!

Sponsors
The Mole Creek Swimming Pool has served as a cherished community hub for over 40 years. However, it was forced to close two years ago due to insurance and safety concerns. In response, the community rallied together, determined to revive this essential facility. Through tireless volunteer efforts, fundraisers, working bees, and our sponsors, residents have made significant progress. Sixteen locals, aged 16 to 60, have even completed lifeguard training and volunteered their time, showcasing a strong commitment to ensuring a safe and fully operational pool for the upcoming summer season.
A huge thanks goes out to local partners who have supported the reopening of the Mole Creek Swimming Pool. With generous contributions from the Meander Valley Council, TasNetworks, Bendigo Community Bank, the Graymont Carbon Reduction Fund and Royal Lifesaving Tasmania, essential upgrades have made it possible for the pool to reopen. Now, it can once again serve as a safe, welcoming space for swimming lessons, recreation, and community events.
Big thanks to our generous Swimming Pool Sponsors:
