Mole Creek Ye Olde Railway Station Op Shop

Open:  Wednesdays 10am – 3pm Summer Hours and 11am – 2pm Winter Hours.

The Heart of Pioneer Drive: Celebrating 40 Years
Located directly opposite the Post Office on Pioneer Drive, the Mole Creek Ye Olde Railway Station Op Shop has a history as rich as the treasures found inside.  Its story began in 1986 – just one year after the last train pulled out of the station – thanks to the vision of Enid (Miles) How and Betty Richards.
Over the last four decades, the shop has remained a community staple through the tireless dedication of volunteers like Margo, Margaret, Maureen, Trudy, Sarah, Pauline and many more friendly faces. This year, 2026, marks our 40th Anniversary. We are proud to continue serving local residents and visitors alike with the same welcoming spirit that started it all.

Mole Creek Fire Brigade

Every year a small number of fires costs the Tasmanian community dearly. Some of these fires escape from smaller fires that were lit for good reasons. Some restrictions on lighting fires apply all year round and there are additional precautions that must be taken during Fire Permit Periods and on Days of Total Fire Ban.

If someone suffers a burn around a fire, hold the burn under cool gently running water for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical attention as soon as possible for any burns that blister. For serious burns call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Mole Creek Community Garden

The Mole Creek Community Garden is a partnership between Deloraine House and the Mole Creek Progress Association. It is an inclusive, welcoming space run by local volunteers (and their many children!) focused on sharing nutritious, organic food with residents and visitors alike.
The garden relies on the generosity of our residents; locals often donate seeds which are available for anyone to take and plant. When produce is ready for harvest, it can be picked up for a small donation at the garden or found at the Mole Creek Supermarket.
