Swimmers Toe / Pool Toe
An active day at the pool can occasionally result in what is known as “swimmers toe” or “pool toe”. Especially for young children who are not used to swimming in a pool, after a full day at the pool you may notice small blisters or irritations on toes or fingers from friction or pool chemicals. We recommend the following steps to minimise or prevent swimmers toe:
Limit friction: Avoid rubbing your feet on rough pool edges or repeatedly pushing off the wall.
Take Breaks: If you have sensitive skin or conditions like eczema, take short breaks from the water to let skin recover
Wear Footwear: Never go barefoot in pool decks, showers, or locker rooms; use flip-flops or water shoes to block fungi and protect feet from rough surfaces.
Moisturize: Keep skin hydrated with lotion before and after swimming to maintain a healthy skin barrier.
Pool Access Update – Updated 8 January 2026
After many months of waiting for the installation of the new gate, the keyless entry system is now in place. This means you no longer have to pay a key deposit, however you will still need to obtain a code to enter. Thank you for your patience as we work through the pitfalls of implementing a new entry system. Please use one of the following methods to enter the pool.
- Non-season pass users can access the pool by paying and obtaining the code via the Mole Creek Supermarket or the Mole Creek Takeaway Shop (located next door).
- You will need to pay the entry fee via exact cash, direct deposit, or PayPal. You must sign a waiver for every member of your party. Sign an electronic waiver using this link or by scanning the QR code located at the front gate of the pool.
- ALWAYS lock the gate behind you after entering and exiting
- Season pass holders will receive email updates on the new access code as this is changed on a regular basis.
Thank you for your honesty and respect as we implement this system to benefit the entire community. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to seeing you at the pool! If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch!
The pool is managed by the Mole Creek Progress Association with all proceeds going to the running of the pool.

The Mole Creek Swimming Pool has served as a cherished community hub for over 40 years. However, it was forced to close two years ago due to insurance and safety concerns. In response, the community rallied together, determined to revive this essential facility. Through tireless volunteer efforts, fundraisers, working bees, and our sponsors, residents have made significant progress. Sixteen locals, aged 16 to 60, have even completed lifeguard training and volunteered their time, showcasing a strong commitment to ensuring a safe and fully operational pool for the upcoming summer season.
Thank you for helping us create a safe and enjoyable space for everyone!
Sponsors
A huge thanks goes out to local partners who have supported the reopening of the Mole Creek Swimming Pool this year and last year. We have had generous contributions from the Meander Valley Council, TasNetworks, Bendigo Community Bank, the Graymont Carbon Reduction Fund, and Royal Lifesaving Tasmania. This year local we have had tremendous support from Ben and the crew at Atkins Engineering TAS. They have stepped in with an essential upgrade to the front gate which will enable the installation of a keyless access sustem. The help from them and all of our volunteers means the pool will again be serving the local area as a safe, welcoming space for swimming lessons, recreation, and community events.
Big thanks to our generous Swimming Pool Sponsors:
Graymont – Carbon Reduction Fund
